The game has an anime style cartoon theme and appears to be quite detailed graphically; this makes MonTower very interesting to play. There are three main stages in playing the game, each stage has variations and changes depending on the users goal at that specific time.
Stage one is collecting elements, this is done in the field, the user will have to harvest the elements manually. A timer and collection limit restricts the player from gathering unlimited amounts of summoning elements.
There are five elements in total, fire, air, earth, water and soul. Each of the elements is used to summon monsters. Summoning monsters is done in the lab. At the beginning of the game the tutorial will help the user summon their first monster.
After this has been completed you are ready to fight! It is important to know that the player can summon many monsters at once (the amount increases with level) but only a maximum of three can enter a battle.
Summoning monsters is not the only way to produce a monster, they can also be mixed. This means certain monsters can evolve together and create super creatures. There are a total of two hundred and twenty monsters to find, summon and evolve.
Each monster can also wear three different outfits, giving them a more menacing look. The last area of interest is known as the ‘Tower’, in this area the player can choose an appropriate level tower to try and reach the top.
At the top is a boss who wields a high amount of experience points, coins and sometime special loot. There are seven different towers and a combination of over five hundred different levels and encounters.
Before the fight starts the player will be prompted to select up to three monsters for the fight. Once the fight begins the player will need to look towards the bottom of the screen and find a moving bar.
The bar moves at different speeds on different encounters. When the bar is in the middle of the screen, in the red area, tap the screen. This will deal the most powerful blow to the enemy. During the fight it is possible to heal monsters with a potion, if the player needs more potions they can be gained though completing quests and bought in the shop with in-game coins.
Gamers will be kept busy for hours with this fantastic app. The exciting concept of finding new creatures in towers and trying to conquer the highest levels it absolutely stunning. The game is suitable for teenagers and adults.
